Truth is we kind of "fell out of the tree" on that one. Once upon a time, the Head Monkeys really thought that they wanted to sell kids clothing and toys and the name seemed "cute". Well, they were "ahead of their time" so they bunched the kids store after a few years. Opened a T-shirt store in an old restaurant in a very "quaint" village in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (da U.P). Wanted to call it something else, but the name had already been reserved. Well the season was set to start, they had bags and signs left over from their kid's operation, so they called the new store "monkey business" just as a temporary thing. The name stuck, we started adding our logo to all kinds of things, the Web happened, and now we are looking to "go national". Whowouldathunk?

Calumet, in da U.P. of Michigan. This is a lot of merchandise for the store is made or received.

Do you have "real" monkeys working at World Headquarters?

The term "monkey" is a very tricky thing, given evolution, missing links, and all of that stuff. Suffice it to say that we use the term very lovingly and with due respect at WHQ. You will have to give us a call and judge for yourself.

How often do you monkey around at World Headquarters?

Every chance we get, but mostly from 9AM to 5PM Eastern time Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Do Monkey Business products really last forever?

We are very proud of the fact that our products do in fact last forever in some form or another. You do realize that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. However, while we could just leave it at that, we at Monkey Business are happy to guarantee that whatever you buy from us will last, and last, and last until you really don't care anymore. If, however, you still do care, we will happily replace that item or give you a refund.
